Minutes from special meeting on September 2 were approved as corrected. The correction was to add bike safety to the goals of the bicycle collective.
Bikeshare committee
Sujith Kumar was named chair of the bikeshare committee.
It was recommended that the bikeshare committee create a policy statement for giving away bikes/parts and to come up with an official name for the committee.
The committee needs to procure tools such as metric wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.. Erik Leamon expressed willingness to sell tools at cost.

EcoFest: September 12
Registration for the “Alleycat” race will open at 9:30 AM. The race will start at 10:00 AM at Laurel Park on Robinson. The race requires $5 to purchase items. We will distribute 50+ CAB brochures. Tom Ezell will not be able to make it. CAB will provide information on bike safety.
Conway Fall Classic: September 19
Sujith will take the CAB banner to Simon Park. Two bands will be performing (The Boomers & Happenstance). About 30 people have signed up.
Bikes Belong Grant
A UCA student wants to secure a grant to work with juvenile inmates. The plan is to start a program that would get juvenile inmates involved in cycling or helping with the Bikeshare program. The student is applying for a $3,000 grant to acquire 10 bikes and cover repair costs. Funds from teen court would be used for matching grant. Volunteers are needed to log mileage on Tucker Creek trail, help for workers, etc. Grant must be filed very soon.
Discussion: There was consensus that the Bikeshare is in too early a stage to take this on. It was mentioned that Bud Pugh might be a good source. He already does something similar. CAB affirms the value of the idea, but our operation is not yet in place. Some members expressed much interest in pursuing, but the consensus was that we are not ready for it yet.
ArtsFest October 10
Old Conway Preservation Society is helping with the tour of historic homes. They will provide docents and refreshments. Website is www.artsinconway.com. Someone suggested a bike art contest.

Bicycle Advisory Board
Formed committees to address specific areas of the plan, discussed bike lane maintenance.
Safe Routes To Schools
Wes Craiglow started the group. Chad Files was named chair. The group will be trying to address Marguerite Vann, Carl Stuart, and Sallie Cone schools.
General Discussion
We need better communication with membership.
Erik suggested progressive supper via bike.
Sujith suggested membership drive with a public party at someplace exciting. Maybe fall/winter timeframe. “Green Drinks” is the first Monday monthly. Perhaps we could join them.
